Agriculture

Connectivity built for operations that don't stop at the building edge.

Farms cover distances and conditions that office networking was never designed for. We design, deploy and support networks for farms, ranches, processing facilities and distributed agricultural operations.

[ The environment ]

Networking where enterprise rules don't apply

An agricultural network has longer distances, harsher conditions and fewer connectivity options than an office, and the operation cannot pause for an outage or a firmware update.

Geographic scale without infrastructure

Operations span hundreds or thousands of acres with no cabling, no nearby fiber and weak cellular. We build the links from scratch: long-range wireless, point-to-point bridges and sometimes satellite backhaul.

Harsh & uncontrolled environments

Equipment lives outdoors year-round, exposed to dust, moisture, heat, cold, machinery and livestock. It has to be weatherproof and serviceable without stopping the operation.

No on-site IT staff

Most farms have no IT staff. The network has to be manageable by the people already running the operation, or supported remotely by a team that knows the environment.

Seasonal & variable demand

Staffing, device counts, and bandwidth needs shift with planting, harvest, and processing cycles. Infrastructure must handle peak demand without being overbuilt for the off-season.

Physical security across open acreage

Theft and trespassing happen, and equipment needs watching. Cameras and access control need connectivity across open ground as well as inside buildings.

The operation runs on the network

Irrigation controllers, grain monitoring, cold storage sensors, GPS-guided equipment and scale house systems depend on the network. An outage stops more than email.

What we deploy

Large-scale wireless coverage

Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links connecting barns, outbuildings, processing areas, and remote acreage back to a central management point. High-density indoor coverage for processing facilities and crew areas where needed.

Physical security & surveillance

Cameras, access control and monitoring across distributed properties, recording locally so they keep working when the internet is down.

Edge-first network architecture

Management and recording run on site, so the network keeps working when the internet connection does not. The cloud is optional.

Multi-site management

Every property, parcel or facility in one management interface, with no IT staff needed at each location.

SD-WAN for distributed operations

Encrypted site-to-site links between properties, offices and processing facilities over the ISP circuits available, with automatic failover when one drops.

Deployment & commissioning

Rack builds, cable runs, AP placement, switch configuration and camera mounting. We install on site and hand off a working, documented system.

[ The platform ]

Why UniFi fits agriculture

License-free

No recurring software fees or cloud subscriptions. You buy the hardware and own the platform, so operating costs are predictable from season to season.

Edge compute & private

Cameras record locally and the network controller runs on site, so footage and operational data stay on your property.

Easy to self-manage

Farm managers and site leads can check network health, review camera feeds and manage access from one dashboard, or hand it to us through managed services.

Hardened for outdoor deployment

Outdoor-rated access points, point-to-point bridges and weatherproof cameras.

[ Support ]

Ongoing support for operations without IT staff

Most agricultural operations have no network engineer on staff. We provide remote support, monitoring and maintenance, so the network stays up without adding headcount.

Self-managed

We deploy, document, and hand off. Your team runs it from there.

Managed services

Ongoing monitoring, firmware management, remote troubleshooting, and configuration support through our Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
