Unified IT llc ("Unified IT," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you visit unifiedit.tech or any of our associated web properties (collectively, the "Site").
01Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
When you fill out a contact form, request a consultation, schedule a site survey, or otherwise communicate with us, you may provide: name and job title, business name and address, email address and phone number, project details, site information or technical requirements, and any other information you choose to include in your message. On the project form you may also attach files, such as floor plans, photos or diagrams, and book a call; the booking puts your name and email on a calendar invitation.
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, two analytics tools count the visit: Plausible, at analytics.unifiedit.tech, and Cloudflare Web Analytics. They record the page, the page that sent you, and your browser, operating system, type of device and country. Neither uses cookies or identifies you by your IP address (see Section 5). Cloudflare, which hosts the Site, receives your IP address with each request, as any host does. When you send the project form, we keep a shortened form of your IP address, with its last part removed, and the name of your browser with your request.
1.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account information, payment card data, health information, or any other sensitive personal data through the Site. If a project engagement requires payment processing, that is handled through separate, PCI-compliant channels and not through this website.
1.4 If you apply for a job
The application form on our Careers page asks for your name, a personal email address, where you are located, the role you are interested in, and answers about your experience. You may add your LinkedIn profile and up to five files, such as a résumé and photos of your work, of up to 25 MB each. We use your application to consider you for a role and to contact you about it.
02How we use your information
We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries and provide requested information about our services, to schedule consultations and project engagements, to send project-related communications and follow-ups, to improve and optimize the Site's performance and user experience, to analyze aggregate usage trends (not tied to individual identity), and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties.
03How we share your information
We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers: these companies process information on our behalf, under contractual obligations to protect it.
Cloudflare hosts the Site. Its Turnstile check, which confirms that a person is filling in the project form, receives your IP address and information about your browser.
Supabase stores what you send through the project form and the careers form, including the files you attach.
Google runs our calendar. When you book a call, the event and its Google Meet link are created in Google Calendar, and Google sends the invitation to the name and email address you gave.
Plausible and Cloudflare Web Analytics count visits, as Section 1.2 describes, and our email provider delivers the email we send you.
The companies above are the ones the Site itself sends information to. The Trust Center (unifiedit.tech/trust) lists every vendor we use, including the ones we use to work with what you send us.
Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order or government regulation.
Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
With your consent: we may share information in other circumstances with your explicit consent.
04Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Contact form submissions and project inquiry data are retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward.
Certain categories of data — including billing records, tax documentation, financial transaction records and information required for regulatory or legal compliance — are subject to mandatory retention periods under applicable law and cannot be deleted upon request.
For data not subject to legal retention requirements, you may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
05Cookies and tracking technologies
The Site sets no cookies, and neither do its analytics. If you choose a light or dark theme, your browser keeps that choice in its local storage, and it never leaves your device. A YouTube video on the Site loads from YouTube only when you press play, and YouTube may then set its own cookies. We do not use cookies or anything like them for advertising. The Cookie Policy has the details.
06Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including Ubiquiti's platforms, our YouTube channel, social media profiles and partner sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
07Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access a copy of the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of non-essential communications at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@unifiedit.tech. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA): if you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
European visitors (GDPR): if you are located in the European Economic Area, our lawful basis for processing your information is legitimate interest or your consent. You have additional rights including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
08Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. For details on our security posture and compliance practices, refer to our Trust Center.
09Children's privacy
The Site is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
